Robert Zorella, LCSW, holds a Master’s degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television from Temple University in Philadelphia.
He has worked in various capacities within the film and television industry for over 20 years, gaining experience in the Production Office, Post Production, Special Effects, and the Art Department. Among his favorite parts of the job were receiving wrap gifts, getting good crafty, and seeing his name in the credits - even appearing on-screen in a few projects.
While pursuing his Master’s degree, he gained psychotherapy training through his internship at the Training Institute for Mental Health in New York City. In addition, he dedicated over 500 hours to the RAINN Online Sexual Assault Hotline, where he assisted more than 800 callers. RAINN (the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the largest organization in the United States focused on combating sexual violence.
Currently, Robert is a licensed therapist in New York and Connecticut, working with adults and teens on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, life transitions, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, LGBTQ+ concerns, burnout, grief and loss, supervision/support for therapists, and challenges specific to the Film and Television Production Industry.
